Braille Collection

We offer a small collection of Children and Junior Fiction titles in braille.

Co-op Borrowing

The Lakeland Library Cooperative is a network of 42 member libraries across 8 counties, working together to share resources, services, and expertise to better serve individuals and communities.

Computers & WiFi

We have 6 public computers that visitors may use during our open hours. You can also bring your own device and use the library's WiFi network.

Copying

Photocopies are available for a per-side fee: 
-$0.20 for letter/legal size paper (black & white)
-$0.30 for ledger size paper (black & white) (11"x17")
-$0.50 for color prints

Curbside Pickup

Request your materials and pick them up without ever leaving your car with our convenient curbside service.

Electronic Books

Borrow ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, and more for free.

Field Trips

Library field trips are available for classrooms on a sign-up basis. Tours will introduce students to the library building and all its services.

Flag Disposal

In cooperation with the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Community Center has become a flag disposal site. There is a box located in the lobby of the Community Center at the west end. This is a way to respectfully dispose of your American flags.

Interlibrary Loan (MeL)

Can’t find a book in the Lakeland Library System? MeL (Michigan eLibrary) can search libraries across the state to help you locate and request it.

Large Print Collection

Our large print collection features a small selection of Junior Fiction titles and a wide range of Adult Fiction favorites.

Mobile App

Our library app seamlessly connects with our catalog, making it easy to search for items, place holds, and access your library card—all in one convenient place.

Printing

Printing from public computers or personal devices is available for a per-side fee: 
-$0.20 for letter size paper (black & white)
-$0.30 for ledger size paper (black & white) (11"x17")
-$0.50 for color prints

Scanning

Our staff can assist you with scanning a document and sending a digital copy to an email address.  This is a free service.

Shoutbomb Notifications

We use a service called Shoutbomb to keep you informed with convenient library alerts. With Shoutbomb, you’ll receive notifications when your holds are ready, which items are available, and where to pick them up.

Study Rooms

 

4 private study rooms are available for patrons 18 years and older on a first come, first served basis. 

Wireless Printing

Utilizing ePRINTit, Howard Miller Public Library now offers wireless printing. You can begin the process from anywhere, then come to the Reference Desk on the second floor of the library to have us print your copies.
