The Howard Miller Public Library Advisory Board plays a key role in guiding library services for the community. The board is made up of five residents from the City of Zeeland, one City Council representative, and an appointed representative from Zeeland Township serving under an intergovernmental agreement.
City members are appointed by the Mayor with the approval of City Council. Each member serves a five-year term, with appointments staggered to ensure continuity and experience on the board.
The Library Advisory Board is responsible for overseeing and supporting library services in alignment with the City’s library ordinance. Meetings are held monthly from September through May. The board does not meet during the summer months (June, July, and August).
